Art at Woodview is 45 minutes once a week and we get a lot done! Besides learning about art processes, like painting, clay, batik, sculpture, collage and more, students learn about art history and art criticisim. Each lesson also includes art vocabulary, such as line, value, color, texture, balance, emphasis, contrast, pattern, etc.   The students' favorite art process seems to be clay.  Every child makes something from clay and it is fired (cooked in our kiln) and glazed. Sometimes art is messy so don’t wear you best clothes on art day!
